Easter Videos for Church – Church Media Your Congregation Needs to See

By at February 2, 2012 | 8:32 pm | 0 Comment

Easter is such an important holiday in the Christian faith, and Easter videos for church are becoming more common as congregations recognize the impact videos can have within a congregation.  Easter is such a fun holiday because everyone is excited about coming to church on Easter Sunday.  Many visitors often come to visit the church on Easter morning, and it is a time when we can really reach out to unbelievers throughout the church body.

There are many opportunities to use church media in your Easter videos for church.  There are many videos, countdowns, and motion and still backgrounds you can use in your services.  Here are some of the best Easter mini-movies to use during youth group or Sunday morning services.

Empty Tomb

This video from Sagebrush Community Church tells the story of Easter with music and words flashing on the screen.  It uses text that is taken directly from Luke 23 and 24.  Specifically, it talks about Christ rising from the dead and the empty tomb.  It is one of the most popular videos that have been viewed in church services over the last several years.

We Are Here (Easter)

This popular church media video from Igniter Media is designed to begin the service.  It starts with a video of the sun rising over a field presumably on Easter morning.  The video specifically calls the congregation into worship, and it reminds Christians to dwell on the resurrection of Jesus Christ and what he did for us 2,000 years ago.  This mini movie is better for a calm beginning to the Easter Service.

Easter Quotes

This is another one of the most popular Easter videos for churches.  It is also designed to be used to begin an upbeat Easter service.  It includes many quotes from popular Christian speakers, and it also includes scripture verses from 1 Corinthians and other books of the New Testament.  People love quotes, and many people will remember quotes from this video.

The Week After Easter

This is a video that is designed to be shown the week after Easter.  It was produced by Floodgate Productions.  It is one of the most convicting videos I have seen regarding the holiday.  It discusses how Christians celebrate the holiday, and then we just go on about our busy lives.  It encourages people to dwell on the season of Easter and not to run from God or the church once the Easter season is over.

Easter: Invite Me In

Are you encouraging members to invite people to church on Easter Sunday?  This video from Floodgate Productions is a heartfelt message produced to help encourage church members to invite people to church for Easter services.   He speaks from the point of view of someone who is just waiting for their Christian friend to invite them to church.  This is one of my favorite Easter videos for churches that should be shown in every church pushing evangelism for Easter services.

There are many Easter videos for church you can show at your local congregation this year.  In our ever changing culture, we need to find new ways to reach Christians, and Easter videos can help make this happen!

Valentine’s Day Church Videos – Church Media That Might Work Well In Sunday Morning Services

By at February 2, 2012 | 6:09 pm | 0 Comment

There are many Valentine’s Day church videos that are being produced for the church these days.  Just like many of the other holidays for the year, there are more and more videos being produced for the church all of the time.  This is the time of the year when husbands and boyfriends cringe over the thought of spending hundreds of dollars on their woman!  Singles who are infatuated with someone of the opposite sex hope that they will have a date with their special friend this year.  Singles who are unattached get together to hang out for guys night or ladies night!

The holiday is always a hot topic among youth groups.  Youth pastors recognize the youth are going to talk about this day whether they want to or not, so it is a good idea to address it in your service.

What are some good Valentine’s Day videos for church and youth groups?

Valentine’s Day: Tremendous Gift

This is a brand new video from Beamer Films themed for Valentine’s Day that is perfect for the church!  In this short film, a mom helps her son with crafts for Valentine’s Day. While the video is targeted for use around the holiday, the video also communicates God’s incredible love that he has for each one of us.

Moms everywhere can relate to this video, but dads and singles will love it too.  If you want to utilize church media in your Valentine’s Day sermon, then this is the video to start off your message.

Who Needs Valentine’s Day?

Muddy Toes Media produced this themed video to express how we should love people every day!  It is not just Valentine’s Day where we need to express our appreciation for others.  No matter what kind of love we are talking about, everyone needs to know we appreciate them on a regular basis.  The love we have for each other needs to be expressed all the time!  It may not be expressed verbally.  You can express your love for someone simply by spending time with them, buying gifts, physical touch, or serving them.

Davin’s Valentine’s Day Video

This is a humorous video from comedian Davin Bryngrim.  He has produced a new video that is great to show in youth groups around Valentine’s Day.  The humor might not go over that well with adults, but it is great and family-friendly for youth groups for evening services.

Valentine’s Day – Cupid

Crossroads Creative created this Valentine’s Day church video to open up sermons in youth churches all over the world.  Teenagers understand cupid, and this is a great way to open up a sermon where you can talk about love that Jesus has for us.  This video works especially well for youth groups where you have a lot of unsaved teens.

Valentine’s Day church videos are perfect for churches to use to talk about the special holiday in Sunday morning services and youth group services on Wednesday nights.  Most everyone cares about Valentine’s Day, but it has different meaning to different people.  If you are going to talk about the holiday in your Sunday morning message, make sure to incorporate church media!

Christmas Media – Church Videos You Can Show During the Advent Season

By at November 28, 2011 | 4:43 pm | 0 Comment

Christmas media at churches is a great way to communicate the true meaning of Christmas during the advent season.  Some parents and adults get stressed out during Christmas because the holiday season is so busy.  While many people get excited about the holidays, there are others who are depressed and unhappy about life.  Pastors know that church attendance increases during the holidays, so it is really important to reach out to the lost people in the congregation during this time.

Christmas media is awesome because it can reach out to unbelievers who may have preconceived ideas about church.  A powerful video might impact an unbeliever more than any sermon.  People may not remember words, but they often remember stories.  Here are some great media resources that are great for church this year.

It is Christmas Remix

This video is designed to be shown as an intro to a sermon.  It starts with holiday music and words that talk about how Christmas is many things to many people.  For some people, it is all about Santa, reindeer, and Santa’s elves.  For other people it is all about gift giving and spending time with your weird family members!  Some people say that this time of year is more about us than it is about God.  The short mini movie talks about Christmas being a time of reflection and a time to praise God for his blessings.  It is a time to care for people who don’t have a voice.  It is also a time to care for widows and orphans.  Jesus is Christmas, and this mini-movie does an excellent job of communicating this.

The Christmas Story (Luke 2)

During a Christmas celebration service or Christmas Eve service, you want to make sure you share the Christmas story.  It is a good idea to share the Christmas story multiple times during the advent season.  This video shares the complete story of Christmas as told in Luke 2 in two minutes.  Christmas media should always include the Christmas story.

Christmas In A Nutshell

This is a very popular mini-movie that has been viewed in many churches across America.  It starts by talking about how we have all given good gifts and bad gifts, and we have all received good and bad gifts too.  God gave us his Son as the greatest Christmas gift the world has ever seen.  He does not care about our material gifts.  He doesn’t want to give us more stuff.  He wants to give us his presence.  He wants to show up in our neighborhoods, schools, and churches.  The miracle of Christmas is that Jesus showed up as a baby to help save us from our sins.

Christmas Is Jesus

This video also discusses how most everything we do during Christmas really isn’t about the holiday at all.  December 25 is all about Jesus.  This is why we celebrate the season.  This video uses animation throughout the video to bring images to the narrative being discussed within the mini-movie.

Christmas media at churches is a great way to communicate the true meaning of the reason for the season!

Thanksgiving Sermon Video Ideas You Can Try This Year

By at November 1, 2011 | 6:57 pm | 0 Comment

Thanksgiving is the best time of the year to give thanks to God for his many blessings and everything he has done for us.  Pastors are using Thanksgiving sermon videos to help the congregation remember what we should be thankful for during the Thanksgiving season.  Many pastors and churches are unaware that there are many media resources available for every season of the year, and this includes Thanksgiving too!

Here are some popular Thanksgiving sermon video ideas you could show in your church this Thanksgiving:

A Thanksgiving Moment

If you want to add a little humor to your sermon, this is the video to show your congregation!  This popular video from Igniter Media is sure to lighten up the mood of the congregation at the beginning of your sermon.  This video shows how many of the greatest blessings we have at Thanksgiving do not come without its own set of challenges!  Parents and grandparents will easily be able to relate to the humor of the Thanksgiving holiday portrayed in this video!

Thanksgiving Wise

This is another great Thanksgiving sermon video you can have the church view during November.  Everyone loves quotes, wise sayings, and Scripture verses.  The Thanksgiving Wise video from Beamer Films is a collection of quotes, sayings, and Scripture references that relate to Thanksgiving.  It is the perfect video to show during the Thanksgiving service or at any other time during the service.  Anybody can relate to this video, and it will have an impact on the congregation.

Some of the Scriptures included in this short mini video include Psalms 100:4 and Ephesians 5:19-20.

Thanksgiving to the Lord

Some people aren’t moved as much by quotes and sayings.  This video is geared more toward Scripture references and giving thanksgiving to the Lord.  It can be used during the Thanksgiving season, but it is designed to be used at any time of year.  It does not make a specific mention of the Thanksgiving holiday.  If you are planning to share a message about Thanksgiving during any random Sunday morning service, the Thanksgiving to the Lord mini movie is appropriate for this sermon.

There are many mini movies that would work for in a Thanksgiving sermon video series.  People often get bored by the traditional Sunday morning services, but there are many ways you can make things more interesting in the weekly services.  People remember stories and movies more than they remember sermons, so mini movies are a great way to get the message across!

Christian Thanksgiving Media – Ideas for Thanksgiving Services

By at October 24, 2011 | 6:52 pm | 0 Comment

Many pastors are looking for Christian Thanksgiving media that would be appropriate for Thanksgiving services.  Thanksgiving is a sacred time for many people, as they give thanks to God for his goodness and everything he has done in their lives.   As the church becomes more high-tech, pastors are implementing technology more and more into the Sunday morning services.  This has created a demand for Christian Thanksgiving media unlike anything that has ever been seen before.

People tend to be ungrateful for everything they have.  Most Christians don’t even understand how ungrateful they are, but movie clips for church can grab the attention of your congregation just as quickly as any sermon would.  Here are some clips that would work great in any Thanksgiving service:

Real Thanksgiving – The Stuffing

This is a short 60 second video that communicates traditional Thanksgiving celebrations and the spiritual significance of Thanksgiving in 60 seconds.  Thanksgiving is all about eating large portions of food, and the video start by showing people eating the Thanksgiving feast.  There is nothing wrong with celebrating the Thanksgiving feast, as this gives you some time to spend with your family.  This is my favorite clip when it comes to Christian Thanksgiving media.

The video says you can always overdo the stuffing you eat on Thanksgiving, but you can never overdo reading the word.  The video then shows a person studying the Scriptures.  This is an effective way to emphasize Scripture studies without beating someone over the head!  This is the perfect movie clip for Christian Thanksgiving Media.

Real Thanksgiving – The Turkey

This video shows a guy who is completely overworked and stressed out on Thanksgiving. He is trying to cook a huge meal for a large number of people, and he winds up burning the turkey.  The video communicates that Thanksgiving is not about having a good turkey, but it is all about having a good God.

Real Thanksgiving – The Victory

Football is an emotional game.  It is also a huge part of Thanksgiving tradition.  The Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions play every year on Thanksgiving, and many people look forward to getting together with the family to watch these games.  This is all good and well, but we don’t get nearly as excited about leading other people to Jesus.  If you are serious about your walk with the Lord, then you should get excited about other spiritual moments in life too.

Christian Thanksgiving media is the perfect opportunity to reach out to the members of your congregation about giving thanks to the Lord in the Thanksgiving season.  With all of the new technology available today, it is easier than ever to preach the message of Christ with effective media resources.

Church Media – How To Use It to Reach More and More People For Christ

By at October 10, 2011 | 3:55 pm | 0 Comment

The number one resource for church media here!

Church media is becoming an increasingly important part of our church culture.  The 21st century is dominated by television, movies, music, and the internet.  All of these influences are having an effect on our lives and thoughts.  It is very easy to let media run our lives, but we need to be careful to guard ourselves against the forces of evil.  Whether you like all of the technology or not, media is here to stay, so it is up to Christians to utilize media to reach this world for Christ.

Media is a tool just like anything else.  It can be used for evil or for good.  As Christians, there are many ways we can use church media to help evangelize the lost.  Have a movie night at the church where you show a Christian movie.  At the time of this writing, Courageous is in many movie theaters across America.  Many people will see it in the movie theaters, but not everyone is going to see it there.  Schedule a night where members of the church can invite non-Christians to a movie night at the church.  You could make it even less intimidating by having the movie night at a location other than the church.  Many people who aren’t Christians will go to a movie night even if you are watching a Christian movie.

Some of the best church media today comes in the form of awesome Christian music.  There are many Christian and praise bands that don’t get much exposure in the secular world.  Christian concerts happen all over the country, so invite your non-Christian friends out to a concert with a rockin’ Christian band!  Most Christian concerts include a time for a Gospel message to reach out to the unbelievers in the audience.

The worship at your church is very important as it relates to church media.  Music has a way of stirring up the emotions of people unlike anything else.  Every year, there are many new songs being written and sung in congregations all over the world.  Many of the new songs will appeal to outsiders visiting the church.  While it would be better for people to come to church because they are observing the Sabbath and fellowshipping with other believers, the reality is that many people come to church with other motives.  The music can help bring people into the congregation, and once they are there, it is the responsibility of the members to help keep people there.

The rise of YouTube is a lesson for everyone that people love to watch videos.  Videos can be utilized in sermons too.  Many churches now have overhead projection systems that make it easy to show movie clips for sermons.  As a result, there is a huge demand for short Christian videos that can be shown in church services.  Don’t be afraid to break up your sermons with movie clips during the sermon.

Church media is having a huge impact on the 21st century church.  Media does not have to be a negative influence in your life.  Use church media to help reach this world for Christ!

Church Media – These Four Media Resources Should Be Used In Every Congregation

By at October 3, 2011 | 5:18 pm | 0 Comment

This is a great resource for all things church media!

Church media is an awesome resource to communicate the love of Jesus to everyone in the church body.  It has never been easier to share Christ and his love for the world than it is today.  When Jesus returns, everyone is going to be able to see it because of the internet.  Every news channel will have videos of this amazing event, and people will be able to watch it over and over again on YouTube!

Most Christians would agree that advancing technologies has had a negative impact on society too.  Media has desensitized society to many sins that would have shocked us 30 years ago.  It seems like you can’t watch a good comedy today without hearing lots of swearing and cussing.  Sexual perversion is everywhere, and it doesn’t seem like there is much that shocks us anymore.

Church media is designed to give Christians alternatives to everything we see on the Internet and television.  While there are many videos we can’t show in church, there are many other media resources that can always be used in churches.

PowerPoint Style Presentations

Churches have been moving away from overhead projectors for the last 10 years.  The bulbs in overhead projectors are expensive to replace, and many classrooms and churches are moving to computerized projection systems.  Software applications like Propresenter 4 and Mediashout 4.5 make it easy to display the words to the songs.  They are much easier to reach than overhead projectors, and there are many other occasions where having digital projectors can be used in a church service.

Videos

Video is an effective way to communicate the Gospel today.  People have short attention spans.  They are not going to listen to your sermon for an hour.  If you really plan to speak for an hour, then break up your sermon with a short video.  Using video as part of your church media is appropriate if it helps communicate the message to your congregation.

Music

Music through praise and worship is one of the core components that should be included in your church service.  Many people are not familiar with all of the new music being written today.  Hillsong music has been popular since the late 1990s, but there are many other new artists like Gateway Worship, Kari Jobe, Desperation Band, and Jesus Culture that are producing new music for the church.

With the right worship team, it is pretty easy to keep the music new and fresh.   Music is essential to church media in your congregation.

Facebook and social media

Many people only fellowship with other believers on Sunday morning.  Websites like Facebook make it easier than ever to communicate with other believers throughout the week.  Church doesn’t have to be a Sunday morning event anymore.   You can stay in touch with other believers through Facebook.

Church media is becoming an increasingly important part of every church congregation.  If your church is serious about reaching this world for Christ, then we have a responsibility to utilize all of the resources available to us to reach out to a lost and broken world.
